Sites fill up fast. A campsite consists of one trailer or tent and includes two adults and their three children, under the age of 18.

We look forward to having you as our guest and want to make sure your camping experience at GrandView will be
picture perfect!

Important Information

Full Payment in advance will lock in price, expedite check-in and avoid automatic cancellation due to failure to remit payment on time.

Sorry, no refunds due to weather or circumstances beyond our control.

CT Tax: All cottage rentals are subject to 15% tax per CT law. Tax does not apply to RV and tent site rentals.

Refunds: Due to limited availability of rentals and the seasonality of our business, we have a strict refund policy. 

Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund minus bank fees and reservation fee.  

Cancellations made 13 days or less before arrival date, your deposit will be forfeited, 3 days or less and all payments are forfeited. 

Holiday reservations are non-refundable. 

No refunds will be given for shortened stays or early departures. 

No refunds will be given for cancellations due to weather or circumstances beyond our control. 

Under limited circumstances, at the discretion of the owner, we may be able to retain your deposit for a future stay during the season the reservation was booked.

For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Personal checks will be accepted.

We will always do our best to accommodate your request but reserve the right to exchange or substitute site assignments at our discretion. Sites  will be confirmed upon arrival. 

Facilities & Amenities

 17 Cozy Cottages
     Cottages are equipped with:
     beds; some double, bunk, and twin. .
     Mini Refrigerator
     Full bath
     Each Cottage will be provided an outdoor fire ring and picnic table.

     Outdoor sinks are provided for dishes, and other uses.

     Cottages sleep 4, 5, 0r 6.

     Cottages are equiped with heat and air conditioning. 

      NO PETS are allowed in cottages. 

NOTE: Cottage occupants must provide their own Sheets, towels, pillows and blankets.

 HOW TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION

We are delighted to share we have now made it possible for you to make your camping reservations online! You can check it out by clicking the link below

We are also available to take your reservations on the phone as in the past. In fact, we look forward to giving you the personal touch when making your reservations. We love talking to you, and helping you find the perfect site to fit your needs. Making your reservations by phone is helpful in many ways. Group and tent reservations must be made by phone.

DIRECTIONS:

From CT Rte 2 east, take Exit 16 to Rte 149, turn right. Go approx. 4 miles.  You will then CROSS Route 16. Do not turn off of 149. Drive another approx. 4 miles. Turn right onto N. Moodus Rd. (flashing light), Campground is one mile down the road on the left.

From CT Rte 2 west, take exit 18, turn left onto Rte 16. Go approx 6 miles to intersection with Rte. 149. Turn left onto 149.  Drive another approx. 4 miles. Turn right onto N. Moodus Rd. (flashing light), Campground is one mile down the road on the left.

From Portland Bridge: turn right onto Rte 66. Continue until fork at Rte 66 and 16. Keep right onto Rte 16 and continue to intersection with Rte 149. Turn right onto Rte 149 and contine approx 5 miles to flashing light in the center of Moodus. Turn right onto North Moodus Road. (flashing light), Campground is one mile down the road on the left.

From CT Rte 9, Exit 11 (this isa long exit). At end of exit, turn left onto Rte 154/82. Turn right at light, onto Rte. 82 across East Haddam bridge. Bear left onto Rt 149. Stay on 149 to Left at N. Moodus Rd. (flashing light) Campground is 1 mile down the road on the left.

IMPORTANT: After turning onto North Moodus Road there is a stop sign about 1/2 mile away. From that point, drive SLOWLY so you do not miss the driveway, which will be on your left. If you pass the GrandView sign, you've gone too far. 

NOTE: If using GPS, use caution NOT to be directed to Salmon River, Waterhole Road, Clark Gates Road, Pickerel Lake Road, or Grist Mill Road. These are winding, side roads. It is best to stick to the main road. Call if you have any questions. 860 873-3332
